Don’t Believe The Hype

If you bought the hype on Big Brown or Roger Federer then you’re probably a bit miffed after this weekend’s performances. With history on the line, both came up lame. Unless you had your money on Da’ Tara, the Belmont did what it usually does to racing fans, disappoint. Big Brown, hyped up as the best horse in bad horse field, this was supposed to be a slam dunk for those wanting to see a triple crown. Quickly the fans realized that unless the horse running was Mr. Ed, the horse won’t understand the hype, and it was evident that Big Brown didn’t understand the Kings English. Unlike his name sake, this package never got delivered. Thanks for play’n loser!

Ask tennis enthusiasts who’s the greatest tennis player of all times and many would say Roger Federer. With countless championships and records, there is just one little thing that Roger needed to do to put him on top of that mountain of greatness, and that’s win the French Open. Like years past though, the title had to go through Nadal and Nadal doesn’t lose on clay.  So here we had the best all-around player vs one of the best clay players ever, and once again the roan surface didn’t suit Federer’s game. The final wasn’t even a final, it was target practice, the worst loss ever by Federer in a championship. This lop-sided affair prompted Nadal to apologize to Roger after the match for the arse whoop’n he just laid down. Another hyped up final that didn’t live up to its billing.
Keeping with the theme, “Best Looking tennis players or best horses ever”  I’ll let you decide…
