The NBA Can Be Fun

We’ve all heard the term “Fish where the fish are”, right?  When it comes to writing blogs about the NBA playoffs I’m not sure I’m fishing in the right spot.  It’s not that I don’t like the NBA, but many of you out there don’t give a squat.  That being said, the NBA playoffs have provided a lot of drama that the casual sports fan could support.

For instance, game 1 between the San Antonio Spurs and LA Lakers was nuts.  You have the greatest player in the game scoring 2 pts in the first half, the Spurs had to sleep on their airplane, and to put the cherry on top the Lakers erased a 20 pt deficit to finally win the game (the 2nd most in NBA playoff history).  The game was off the chain and like the saying goes, “you can’t keep a good man down.” I’m guessing that was penned for Super Kobe, who took over the game and secured the win. Looking forward to tonight’s contest.

Moving on to the Eastern conference finals, you have the Boston “I can’t win on the road” Celtics and the Detroit Pistons.  Game 1 went to the home team, but you could tell afterwards that the Celtics awoke a sleeping giant.  Game 2 was a hard fought game but in the end the Pistons took it to the Celtics reversing home court advantage…not a good sign for the Green Team considering they haven’t won on the road in playoffs.  I personally don’t see Boston rebounding from this so I’m making my prediction now.  Lakers vs D-town in the finals, but never underestimate the Spurs.
