The greatest ever retires, a smoking gun is finally extinguished, and the Cubs plus Wrigley are up for sale.
Annika Sorenstam for the last…well ever, has been the Tigress of golf. Known as the most dominate golfer on the LPGA, Annika decided that enough was enough and will be hanging up her cleats seasons end. She joins a select few that decided to go out on top of their respective sports, those being: Barry Sanders (my favorite of all times), Jim Brown, and Brett Favre(?). Annika you’ve done your part for the LPGA (not that anyone really cares), but congrats on doing what you did, and doing it the right way.
Matt Walsh, grown out of virtual obscurity to become the face of media fame…sort of like yours truly (stay grounded stay grounded). Oh you don’t know who Matt Walsh is? Let me help, he’s the tape guy for spygate??? Still don’t know, Oh forget it then, I’m just glad it’s semi-resolved. Next…
Do you know what has been wrong with the Cubs for the last couple of decades? It’s owned by a bottom-line revenue losing company, the Chicago Tribune. That’s what’s wrong with the Cubs! However today brought good news as the Cubs plus Wrigley Field will be on the shopping block as the Tribune Company has decided they want to sell. Yeah, their dancing in the streets of Chicago! This, along with every other Cubs fan, is music to our ears. Corporation shouldn’t own a sports franchise, megalomaniacs should own franchises. Owners need to passionate about their team, and extension of their own self absorbed greatness, not a corporation that always looks at how they can save money. You don’t believe me, well I’ve got an example: why did it take 100 yrs for Wrigley to get lights, it was nostalgia…NO! It was because the Tribune Company was cheap. Oh happy day now I can start thinking about world championships…Mark Cuban I know you want some of that.
