Growing Pains for King James

Who’s the best player in the NBA? That was the debate earlier in this NBA season, and at the time there were only two choices - newly crowned MVP Kobe Bryant and LeBron King James. Retraction time!!! Because of LeBron’s lack luster performances (8-42 from the field) in the playoffs, I think he’s been benched, in fact he’s not even in the top 5.
This year Kobe has made all the right moves. He is unequivocally, and has been for the last 7 yrs, the best player in NBA. Unlike previous years where it was the Kobe show, Kobe has leaned on his teammates this year elevating their games. Great players make the other players around them better; LeBron still struggles with that! Sure LeBron was the scoring champ, but if you really want to compare the all around game there is no comparison. Kobe has been a better shooter, has a better free throw percentage (key during the playoffs), a better defender, and makes 3s when needed. Not to go man crush on this guy but he’s the closest thing to MJ I think we’ll see until LeBron hits his 27th B-Day. Sorry LeBron but that was a slam dunk.
If Kobe is #1 then Chris Paul is clearly “1-B” (I think he could probably run the 40 while dribbling in 4.6secs). With his super speed and court awareness, Chris Paul inflicts so much pain on the opposition that even Hannibal Lector would blush. The kid is straight up sick! OK, enough about Paul, I wrote about last week. Let’s round out the rest of the Top 5. The other 3 would go (in no specific order): Tim “EZ Like Sunday Morning” Duncan, Kevin Garnett, and Chauncey Billups. I can’t forget the Man Child who also gets an Honorable Mention, Mr . Dwight Howard.
LeBron, don’t get discouraged, even superman himself (my main man Michael Jordan) had growing pains especially against the Bad Boys of Detroit. It was only after MJ learned that he didn’t need to do it all that he became the best ever. It might be too late to adopt that philosophy this year, but take that page from MJ’s history book and use it next year…it will serve you well.

I agree will Vanessa Bryant, she is hot, but not very smart. I would of left Kobe if I was her.
