Bowled Over By Lance Briggs

Lance “Bad Arse” Briggs of the Chicago Bears, wanted some payback, so this time he challenged me.
First off, Lance is a cool dude, something you wouldn’t expect from a Pro-Bowl Linebacker who gets paid boatloads of money for inflicting pain. Before this challenge we talked a bit about the status of Bears, and why he was stalking me. After about 20min of conversation and a quick restraining order, it was time to put up or shut up. As you can see this challenge required very little skill but it was recommended to me by the Dali Lama because of something that had to do with the shape of a football and universal spatiality…I don’t know, I just agreed. Enjoy the vid, and finally a celeb didn’t have to cheat.
PS-Behind the scenes I asked Lance who was the best linebacker on the Chicago Bears and he wouldn’t answer the question. He said something like Brian Urlacher was his boy and that they played different positions, yadda yadda yadda. That’s code talk for, he thought he was better but didn’t want to say it - I can respect that. Personally, I think he’s better; however, if Mr. Urlacher learned how to shed a block I think he’d be hands down the best linebacker on the team and maybe the league?
Keeping with the theme “Who’s the Best Linebacker of All-Times?” Leave me a comment and let me know what you think.
-Dick Butkus
-LT
-Mike Singletary
-Jack Lambert
-Ray Lewis
I’m going with LT, even though I don’t think you can count him as a linebacker…He’s a glorified Defensive End!

Come on Dave…
We’ve gone over this time and time again. LT was an Outside LB. Just because he played in a 3/4 scheme doesn’t mean that he is a Defensive End.
LT was a LB, and the best to ever play the game. He changed the game. If he were to play today in a 4/3 traditional scheme, he would be an OLB, not a D.End. He would also be very high!

Buck,
Did LT drop back in coverage? No. I understand that in a 3/4 scheme he’s listed as a linebacker but his talents were that of D End. I also disagree that he would have been a OLB in a 4/3, he would have been a DE.
Regardless we agree he was the best
